My First Book is Out!!

I am so excited that my first book, Finding Peace in Life’s Storms, is out. I am very proud of it. So many of my most important ways to cope with all of the problems this sin filled life can throw at us. Whether your storm is caused by your own mess ups, or those of others, this book will help you overcome them, and overcome depression!

Available on Amazon for Kindle and in Paperback

Sex is important to Christians too. It’s easy to mess it all up though.

I work with many issues, but I specialize in Infidelity, Porn, and other sexual areas. No shame here. But let’s use God’s grace and Biblical wisdom to get good, healthy, and meaningful sex back into your marriage.

Highly Trained. Experienced.
Personable. Biblical.

I'm a professional psychologist with a doctorate degree, but primarily a Christian who believes in God's great work of redemption. I seek to minister love and grace, without judgmentalism, but also without watering down the truth of God’s Word. I offer practical and God-honoring techniques to help you overcome the stress of life’s storms.

I try to be “normal” and friendly. I am not uptight, pretentious, or boringly academic. Let’s just talk and be real with each other. I specialize in working with men who have never been in therapy before, making them feel comfortable. I also know how to relate to women and couples well, helping them feel that they are in a safe place.

Let me help.

Specialties

  • DEPRESSION

Depression can be mentally, emotionally, and spiritually debilitating. Feelings of hopelessness, helplessness overwhelm you. There is not joy or motivation in your life. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I can help you re-discover hope that will anchor your soul.

  • ANXIETY/OVERTHINKING

Scripture tells us to take captive every thought, but you struggle with this because thoughts never seem to stop running through your mind. We are told not to be anxious, but you often fear the worst and struggle with one fear after another. If you're unsure how to manage these thoughts and over come these fears, I have quite a number of practical strategies that can help you.

  • INFIDELITY

Did your partner cheat on you? Are you cheating on your partner? The break in trust or the guilty conscience caused by infidelity can be difficult to navigate for couples. It often helps to have an unbiased third-party who can provide Godly counsel that can lead to forgiveness and reconciliation or in a case of separation, healing and restoration of hope and trust for the future.

  • PORN ADDICTION

In an age when pornographic material is just a click away and so easily secreted away, the dangers of addiction to porn has increased exponentially. As with anything excessive, porn addiction can tear apart otherwise good relationships and cause the addicted to have unhealthy expectations from their real partner. My practice is a judgment-free zone where you can break this addiction.

  • GRIEF/TRAUMA/PTSD

The past can sometimes haunt us and prevent us from reaching the fullness of the glorious future God has in store for us. Horrific incidents in our lives — abuse, death, survivor's guilt, and more — can still affect our behavior and our means of relating with people we love. We cannot change the past, but I can help you move from denial to acceptance and lead you to a place of peace and contentment.

  • FAITH/SPIRITUAL GROWTH

We might have already heard of the oft-spoken Christianese advice of "let go and let God," but we discover that developing our faith in that way is not always as easy as advertised. I hope to help you overcome the hurdles preventing you from leaning on God more. I believe that increasing our faith is the best way to mental health, but sometimes, we need help to get to where we want to be in our walk with the Lord.

Invest in your Mental Health

Isn't fighting depression, anger, and anxiety worth your time, energy, and money? We spend so much money on frivolous stuff or irritating stuff (like lawyers and insurance), and yet so little on what helps bring peace into our lives. Faith is the best path to peace. Invest in how to build up faith that helps you find peace in your storm.

Improve your relationship with others

The Bible tells us to love God first and to love others as we love ourselves. The quality of our relationships is a primary factor in our overall quality of life. For many of us, relationships IS LIFE!! Let me help you learn how to communicate effectively, and especially let me help you in learning to control your emotions and fears of rejections and abandonment. When you are thriving from the inside-out, and grounded in who you are in Christ, you are better able to develop deep and meaningful relationships that last a lifetime.

Invest in your relationship with Jesus

Jesus is real. He is the Great Counselor, so much better than I am or can ever be. Why then do we sometimes struggle to lean on Him? Why do we feel like He has abandoned us or that He is indifferent to our pain? Why do we feel like we can't run to Him when we mess up or fail? Let's unpack the answers to those questions together, so that you can come to a realization of just how much Jesus loves you — so much more than you could ever know!

Video Introduction

I would like you to be as comfortable and secure as possible with me as your therapist, so I prepared a short video for you to get a sense of what it would be like to talk with me. It's my intention to show you that I'm just like you — a person saved by grace and trying my best to live in a way that honors God. We're all unique and a little crazy and there's nothing wrong with the diversity of personalities God created in us.

Online Therapy Only

Hassle-free, right-at-the-comfort-of-your-home therapy.

Since I began to do online therapy way before COVID re-arranged our way of doing things, I've found that it's not at all as impersonal as what people might assume. I've had clients who have expressed how it's just as personable, relatable, and meaningful as in-person therapy — without the hassle! It has proven to be more convenient and less intimidating to be in one's own comfort zone rather than going through the traffic and taking the time to meet face-to-face in a therapist's office.

This way, you can stay safe where you are, cozy in a blanket, with your pet, and perhaps talking to me while enjoying a glass of wine.

Let's have a free 20-minute session so you can try out for yourself if this is right for you.

There are no strings attached and no pressure to commit. Let's have a short chat.
